Silver Creek Reformed Church

Tyler has been on Silver Creek's staff as Director of Youth and Education since May 2007. He is from Pearl City, IL, and he graduated from Pearl City High School in 2003. Tyler has also earned an Associate of Arts from Highland Community College in Freeport, IL in 2005, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL in 2007. He majored in psychology. Tyler is currently enrolled in Indiana Wesleyan University's Master of Arts in Ministry Program with a concentration in Youth Ministry.

Tyler has been involved in serving in youth ministry for the past five years. He was a junior high sponsor at Martintown Community Church in Martintown, WI, a junior high and college intern at Park Hills Evangelical Free Church in Freeport, IL and a part time youth director at Genoa Faith United Methodist Church in Genoa, IL before coming to Silver Creek. He loves the fact that God has called him to love Jesus, love teenagers, and introduce the two to each other.

Tyler has been married to a wonderful wife since June 23, 2007. Andrea is a recreational therapist at the Freeport Park District, and she loves helping out with the youth ministry. The two enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out at a local coffee shop.

Tyler is a crazed Cubs fan, and he enjoys listening to new music and attending a variety of Christian rock concerts. During his free time, you will find him trying to conquer the latest Mario game for his Nintendo Wii. Tyler advises that you do not feed him Jell-o. He will get very angry if you do.
